Terms of Use

These terms explain how you can use startlola.com and the Lola service, what we do for you, what you do for us, and what happens if you want to leave. We wrote them in plain English on purpose.

Last updated September 25, 2026

The short version

  • No setup fee, no exit fee, no long term contract. You can cancel anytime.
  • Your website is yours from day one, and you keep everything Lola made for you if you leave.
  • We never promise rankings or revenue. We promise the work, done properly and on schedule.
  • Payments are not refunded, because a real team starts working for you on day one.
  • You choose in your settings what needs your OK before it goes live.

This summary helps you read the page. The full text below is what applies.

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

Lola is a service of Rank First Labs Ltd, a company registered in Cyprus (registration number HE 494678), based in Limassol, Cyprus. In these terms, "we", "us" and "Lola" mean Rank First Labs Ltd. "You" means the business that uses our website or signs up for a plan, and the person acting for it.

These terms apply to startlola.com, the waitlist, the Lola ASK interview, every Lola plan (Lola Start, Lola Grow and Lola Scale), any add ons, and every message, page, post, reply or report we produce for you (together, the "Service"). Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data and forms part of these terms. The plan details on our pricing page, or in a written quote for Lola Scale, also form part of these terms.

By joining the waitlist, starting onboarding or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Who can use Lola

Lola is built for businesses, not for personal or household use. To use it you must:

  • be at least 18 years old and have the authority to accept these terms for your business;
  • run a business that operates in the United States (we serve US businesses only); and
  • give us true and complete information when you sign up and keep it up to date.

We may decline to work with any business, for example if its services are illegal, misleading or harmful, or if we cannot serve it well.

3. The waitlist and Founding 100

Joining the waitlist is free and does not commit you to anything. It lets us contact you about early access, onboarding and your spot.

Founding 100. The first 100 businesses that start a paid plan during the Founding 100 offer lock the founding monthly price of their plan for as long as their subscription stays active. After the offer ends, public prices go up as shown on the pricing page. If a Founding 100 client cancels and later comes back, they keep the founding price only if they return on yearly billing. We decide when the offer ends and count places in the order onboarding payments are received.

4. Plans, onboarding and what is included

What each plan includes (website size, page work, articles, Google Business Profile work, support and the rest) is listed on the pricing page for your plan on the day you sign up, or in your written quote for Lola Scale. Some rules that apply to every plan:

  • Onboarding. Onboarding starts with the Lola ASK interview, which you can complete by form, WhatsApp or a call. We then build your website, usually live within 7 working days once we have what we need from you. During that time you approve the design, with 2 rounds of changes included.
  • Monthly allowances. Page work, articles, posts and similar allowances are monthly. Unused page work carries over to the following month only, then expires. Allowances are not exchangeable for cash or other services.
  • Where the work goes. Lola decides how to spend your page work, for example building new pages or strengthening pages that dropped or are close to the top, based on what is most likely to bring you business.
  • Coming soon features. Anything marked "coming soon", "in development" or similar is not part of your plan until we launch it. We may launch it, change it or drop it.
  • Changes to the Service. We keep improving Lola. We may change how a feature works as long as we do not materially reduce what your plan includes during a period you already paid for.

5. Payments and billing

  • When you first pay. Your first payment is taken when onboarding starts. There is no setup fee.
  • How billing works. Plans are billed in US dollars, in advance, monthly or yearly depending on what you choose. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
  • How you pay. Payments are processed by our payment provider. We do not store your full card details. You authorize us to charge your payment method on each renewal.
  • Yearly billing. Paying yearly gets you the free months shown on the pricing page for your plan.
  • Taxes. Prices do not include sales tax or other taxes that may apply. If they apply, we add them to your invoice.
  • Failed payments. If a payment fails, we will tell you and try again. If it is still unpaid after 3 days, we may pause the Service until it is paid.
  • Price changes. We may change our prices. We will give you at least 30 days notice by email before a new price applies to you, and it only applies from your next billing period. Founding 100 prices stay locked as described in section 3.

6. Cancelling, downgrading and upgrading

  • Cancel anytime. There is no commitment and no exit fee. To cancel, email hello@startlola.com from the address on your account, or use the cancel option in your account if one is available. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you already paid for, and the Service continues until then.
  • Yearly plans. Cancelling a yearly plan stops it from renewing. It does not create a refund for the rest of the year.
  • Downgrade. You can downgrade at any time. The downgrade takes effect from your next billing period, and you keep everything Lola already made for you.
  • Upgrade. You can upgrade at any time. The new plan and price apply from the date we confirm the upgrade.

7. No refunds

Payments are non refundable, including for partial months, unused allowances and the unused part of a yearly plan. The reason is simple: from the day onboarding starts, our team and Lola are already working for you. If something is not right, tell us and we will work hard to fix it.

This does not limit any right to a refund that the law gives you and that cannot be excluded by agreement.

8. Promotions and referrals

  • Each business can use one launch promotion (for example Founding 100 or free migration). Founding 100 members can also pay yearly.
  • Referral and upgrade promotions can be combined with any other offer. Their current details are on the pricing page.
  • A referral reward is earned when the business you referred pays its first month. Referral rewards have no cash value.
  • We do not offer free trials or first month discounts.
  • We may end or change a promotion for new sign ups at any time. A promotion you already received stays as it was offered.

9. Your website and content: who owns what

What is yours

Your website is yours from day one. As between you and us, you own the website we build for you, the pages, articles, posts and other content Lola creates specifically for your business, and everything you give us (your logo, photos, videos, answers and business information). If you leave, you keep all of it. You do not pay us a fee to take your website with you.

What stays ours

We keep ownership of Lola itself: our software, systems, AI models and workflows, the ASK question set, our know how, reports and dashboards, and our design templates, layouts and element library. What Lola learns from the work she does, including what ranks and what does not, is part of Lola and stays ours. Where our templates or design elements are part of your website, we give you a permanent, free, non exclusive license to keep using them on your website, including after you leave. You may not resell or reuse our templates or element library as a separate product.

Leaving with your website

When you leave, just ask. Within 14 days after your last paid period ends, we will help you move your website: we transfer or return admin access, or give you a full export of the site and its content. Your domain should always be registered in your name. If we host your website for you, we keep it online free of charge for 30 days after your last paid period ends so you have time to move it. After that, if the website has not been moved yet, we keep hosting and maintaining it for a fee of $50 per month until it is moved. You can move it at any time, and the fee stops the month it is moved.

Your Google Business Profile and accounts

Your Google Business Profile, social accounts and other accounts stay yours. We work on them with the manager access you give us. When you leave, remove our access or ask us to remove it, and we will.

Using your work as an example

We may show your website and results as an example of our work, for instance on startlola.com or in sales material. If you prefer we do not, email hello@startlola.com and we will stop.

10. What you give us, and your responsibilities

  • True answers. Lola builds your pages from what you tell her in the ASK interview and afterward. You are responsible for making sure your answers are true, including anything about licenses, insurance, certifications, permits, warranties, prices, years in business and service areas.
  • Rights to what you send. You confirm you have the right to give us your logos, photos, videos and other material, and that we may use them to provide the Service.
  • Your team. If you give us names, roles, photos or quotes of your employees or crew, you confirm they agreed to appear on your website and profiles.
  • Access. You give us the access we need (for example domain, WordPress, Google Business Profile manager access) and keep it working. Delays caused by missing access or answers may delay your results and timelines.
  • Your legal duties. You remain responsible for your business, your services, your customer relationships and your own legal and licensing obligations, including advertising rules for your trade and state.
  • Your license to us. You give us permission to use, copy, edit and publish what you give us to provide the Service to you, and to use it, together with the work and results we produce for you, to train and improve Lola. We never sell it, and we never publish your private information on anyone else's pages.

11. Approvals and publishing

You decide in your settings what needs your approval before it goes live. For example, you can let Lola answer reviews automatically while website pages wait for your OK. You can change these settings at any time.

Anything published according to your settings counts as approved by you. If you spot something wrong, tell us and we will correct or remove it promptly.

12. AI made content

Lola uses artificial intelligence together with our team to research, write, design and publish. We check quality, but AI can make mistakes, and nobody knows your business as well as you do. Please review what we publish about your business, especially facts, prices and claims, and tell us if anything needs fixing.

Content we publish is marketing content. It is not legal, medical, financial or safety advice for you or your customers.

We do not write fake reviews, reviews posing as customers, or content that pretends to be written by someone who did not write it. Where articles are written in your crew's voice, they are based on what your crew actually told us.

13. No ranking or revenue guarantee

Google, ChatGPT and other search and AI platforms decide what they show, and they change how they decide without notice. Nobody can honestly guarantee a ranking, a position, a number of calls or an amount of revenue, and we do not. Organic results also take time, often several months.

What we do promise is the work: that we deliver what your plan includes, carefully and on schedule, and keep acting on your most important pages when they slip or get close to the top.

14. Google, Meta and other platforms

Parts of the Service run on platforms we do not control, such as Google Business Profile, Google Search, WordPress, WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram. Their own terms apply to your accounts there. These platforms can change features, limit reach, or suspend or remove listings or accounts. We will help where we can, but we are not responsible for their decisions, outages or changes.

15. Messages by email, WhatsApp and SMS

By giving us your phone number and joining the waitlist or signing up, you agree that we may contact you by email, phone, WhatsApp and SMS about your waitlist spot, onboarding and the Service. This includes Lola's questions, photo requests, updates and alerts. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

You can reply STOP to any SMS to stop text messages, or HELP for help. You can also email hello@startlola.com. If you stop messages we use to run the Service, some parts (such as collecting job photos by message) may not work, and we will switch to email where possible. Agreeing to marketing messages is never a condition of buying.

16. Things you may not do

You may not use the Service to:

  • promote anything illegal, or publish false, misleading or deceptive claims;
  • post fake reviews, buy reviews, or filter who can leave a review in a way that breaks the platform's rules;
  • infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights;
  • copy, scrape, reverse engineer or resell Lola, our templates or our reports, except under a written white label agreement with us; or
  • interfere with the security or operation of the Service, or harass our team.

17. Agencies and white label

Agencies that want to resell Lola under their own brand, or as "powered by Lola", need a separate written white label agreement with us. That agreement takes priority over these terms where they differ. Contact hello@startlola.com to apply.

18. Confidentiality

We keep your non public business information confidential and use it only to provide the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You keep our non public information, such as unreleased features, pricing offered only to you and our methods, confidential too. This does not cover information that is already public or that the law requires to be disclosed.

19. Suspension and termination by us

We may suspend or end the Service, with notice where reasonable, if you do not pay, break these terms, ask us to do something illegal or misleading, or put our team, other clients or platforms at risk. If we end the Service for reasons that are not your fault, we will refund the unused part of any period you prepaid. In every case, section 9 still applies: your website is still yours and we will help you move it.

20. Disclaimers

We provide the Service with reasonable care and skill. Apart from what these terms say, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", and we do not give other warranties, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error free, to the extent the law allows.

21. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, business, rankings, data or goodwill. Our total liability for all claims connected to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 1 month before the event that caused the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

22. Your responsibility for claims

If someone makes a claim against us because of information or material you gave us, claims about your business that you asked us to publish, or your breach of these terms or the law, you agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses from that claim, including reasonable legal fees.

23. Governing law and disputes

If you have a problem, please tell us first at hello@startlola.com. We will try in good faith to solve it with you within 30 days.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. If a dispute cannot be solved informally, the courts of Limassol, Cyprus will have jurisdiction, unless the law of the place where you are based gives you a right to bring the claim there that cannot be excluded.

24. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you by email at least 30 days before it applies. If you keep using the Service after that, the new terms apply. If you do not agree, you can cancel before they take effect.

25. General

  • Whole agreement. These terms, the Privacy Policy, your plan details and any written quote are the whole agreement between us about the Service.
  • Notices. We may send notices to the email address on your account. You can send notices to hello@startlola.com.
  • Transfer. You may not transfer your account without our written OK. We may transfer these terms as part of a merger, sale or reorganization, and your rights stay the same.
  • Things outside our control. We are not responsible for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as platform outages, internet failures or natural disasters.
  • Severability and waiver. If one part of these terms is found invalid, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a right right away, we have not given it up.
  • Language. These terms are written in English, and the English version applies.
